Chaloner is partnering with a boutique communications firm located in midtown Manhattan on a search for a Director with 3-4 years of experience.

The firm seeks smart, experienced candidates for director positions on their high-performance public relations team. Successful applicants will lead or otherwise work closely with a range of clients across their practice areas – including corporate and public affairs/nonprofit – in an intimate and fast-paced environment. Applicants should have at least three years of relevant experience, preferably including management of client accounts, as well as a strong grasp of communications strategy, deep understanding of the media, and social media savvy. Directors are responsible for managing junior employees.

The successful candidate will have 3-4 years of experience and be:

  • An excellent critical thinker
  • Creative and resourceful
  • Terrific at pitching media, with excellent prior placements
  • An outstanding writer
  • Well organized and great at multitasking
  • Versed in key digital media tools and platforms
  • Driven, with a get-the-job-done attitude
