Chaloner has partnered with an international disruptor food brand on their search for a Manager of Internal Engagement & Communications. This position manages and oversees efforts in the key areas of Internal Communications as well as Employee and Community Engagement opportunities, aligning initiatives with the company culture and business objectives and build. This individual will work closely with internal communications leads in the company’s two production facilities to ensure close alignment and consistent execution.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Internal Communications & Engagement, support the strategy and execution of the internal communications plan for the NYC area.
  • Facilitate regular communication among senior leadership, managers and employees.
  • Liaise with all departments to ensure all internal communications are on-brand, strategic and consistent.
  • See that brand voice is maintained in all communications (print, digital, verbal) both internally and externally.
  • Act as go to support for key internal communications initiatives.
  • Develop and execute community and employee engagement strategies in NYC, including initiatives. centered on local sponsorships, employee activations/volunteerism, in close partnership with the People Team.
  • Manage local stakeholder relations.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

The requirements of this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Communications or Journalism degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant communications experience. Strong internal communications experience within corporate environment ideal.
  • Superior writing and editing skills, with a proven track record of successful communications across a variety of audience groups and channels, including digital.
  • Desired skills: experience in the latest communications technology, including proficiency in photo/video editing software, the ability to work with web content management systems and communications analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful communications strategies with demonstrable results in driving awareness and building engagement in a dispersed workforce.
  • Passion for working with people. Strong relationship building/relationship management skills with all levels.
  • Creative problem-solving and collaboration skills with global mindset; flexible; ability to navigate ambiguity and fast-changing environments effectively.
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to "wear many hats" able to shift gears and manage multiple priorities with enthusiasm and energy.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • Willingness to travel and work on weekends.
  • Ability to manage teams and projects remotely.
