Chaloner has partnered with a leading independent communications agency on their search for a smart, entrepreneurial, digital native who has a passion for bringing the latest, fresh, creative digital marketing strategies to their growing roster of world class brands.

The Senior Vice President, Digital Marketing (SVP) will be responsible for managing, developing and growing the agency’s digital marketing services, leading an integrated marketing team in digital strategy, creative, production and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a network of potential new business prospects to bring to the agency in addition to assuming management of and organic growth responsibility for the digital strategies of several of the agency’s top clients. SVPs exemplify the company’s corporate values and consider its mission when making decisions.

The SVP reports to an agency Partner and will provide leadership and management for several individuals on the digital team.

Essential duties

  • Oversight of creative work aross all digital platforms, including web, mobile and tablet.
  • Demonstrates experience with successful integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Develops comprehensive digital marketing plans and programs to help clients achieve campaign goals.
  • Ability to derive strategic insights and counsel from data analytics; ensures digital programs are operating profitably and efficiently; communicates strategic campaign results and findings.
  • Ability to counsel – at a strategic level – the design, execution and management of comprehensive digital strategies (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, SEM, native and other emerging platforms).
  • Monitors and assesses the latest paid digital and social media platform digital trends and tools; consistently brings new digital options to clients and internal teams.
  • Ultimately responsible for client’s digital program satisfaction, and retaining current accounts.
  • Participates in account teams’ development of new business efforts.
  • Supervises staff by mentoring, motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable and conducting reviews and overseeing professional development
  • Manages the fiscal performance of the team, ensure clients receive high-quality work, track client requests to ensure they are handled in strategically and efficiently.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced collaborative team environment.

Required minimum qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in integrated marketing; public relations, marketing or advertising experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, business, communications or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Experienced client service professional; comfortable delivering strategy and recommendations to C-level executives
  • Capable of managing significant client budgets
  • Established team management skills, including working with remote teams
  • Expert project manager
  • Produce strong, multi-faceted client digital communications plans
  • Proven record of generating new business leads and growing business
  • Demonstrated success with senior client interaction, building relationships and adding value.
  • Strong presentation skills, including to: clients, new business prospects and employees.
