Chaloner is pleased to announce that Alex Chambers has joined the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) as Associate, Global Programs, Markets and Policy. In this role, Alex will be responsible for providing essential support in the design and execution of the Global Market and Policy team’s programmatic portfolio, including research and analysis, member engagement, communications, events, partnerships, and business development. With CEBA’s market and policy portfolio concentrated in the Asia Pacific region - where growing corporate clean energy demand from CEBA members and their supply chain companies continues to outpace supply due to policy and market constraints - Alex’s lived, academic and professional experience across Asia will bring valuable perspective to the team.

Alex has over seven years of public and private sector energy and ESG experience. Most recently at Chemonics International, he supported USAID-funded projects aimed at scaling clean energy utilities in emerging Asia-Pacific markets through policy reform, technical assistance and private sector engagement. He previously served as a business development associate for the China and ESG practices of a global due diligence and risk advisory firm.

Alex has a BA in international studies from Johns Hopkins University and a MA in international public management from Science Po’s Paris where he concentrated on global energy policy and clean energy markets. He is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and Japanese.

About CEBA

The Clean Energy Buyers Association is a business trade association that activates a community of energy customers and partners to deploy market and policy solutions for a carbon emissions-free energy system. CEBA’s more than 400 members comprise one-fifth of the Fortune 500, represent more than $33 trillion in market capitalization, and include institutional energy customers of every type and size — corporate and industrial companies, universities, and cities. The Clean Energy Buyers Institute is an affiliated public benefit charity that advances low-cost, reliable, carbon emissions free global energy systems.
