Jamie Weiss-Yagoda - Senior Director of Storytelling & Audience Growth for Repair the World
Chaloner is pleased to announce that Jamie Weiss-Yagoda has joined Repair the World as the Senior Director of Storytelling and Audience Growth. Jamie joined Repair the World in May 2026.
As the Senior Director of Storytelling & Audience Growth, Jamie will lead storytelling, brand-building, and audience development strategies at a pivotal moment of organizational growth for Repair the World. She will be shaping how the organization tells the story of their Jewish service movement, mobilizing participants, partners, donors, and communities in pursuit of a just world. Jamie will create communications and storytelling strategy and messaging, build and execute a growth marketing strategy to expand Repair's varied audiences, drive digital engagement, lead a dynamic team, partner with program and development teams to develop and support strategies that further organizational goals, and ensure Repair’s voice resonates with young adults, donors, partners, and stakeholders.
Most recently, Jamie served as the Senior Director, Community Outreach and Communications for the Harold and Elaine Shames JCC on the Hudson (New York) where she led one of the more compelling organizational turnarounds in the sector. Among many other things, Jamie drove 75% membership growth through an integrated, multichannel strategy spanning paid social, influencer partnerships, earned media, SEO/SEM, and email. Her career began in publishing before she moved to the Council on Foreign Relations to direct external relations and academic engagement for one of the country's most recognized foreign policy institutions. From there Jamie spent nearly seven years at the International Rescue Committee, first as Policy Advisor and then Senior Policy Advisor for Education and Early Childhood Development, where she wrote communications and advocacy plans that contributed to $100M in grant funding, developed materials for Congressional testimony and UN briefings, and drove top-tier media placement.
Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world igniting a lifelong commitment to service. We believe that service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life. Repair is building a national Jewish service movement. We mobilize young adults to serve in their communities, catalyze service through deep partnerships within Jewish communal organizations, and inspire people to take action through time-bound thematic national service campaigns. Our mission provides volunteers with an increased connection to meaningful service and learning as a Jewish value, builds capacity for nonprofit partners to meet their missions, and deepens connections across lines of difference. By 2030, Repair will catalyze one million acts of service toward repairing the world.
